About the Ride
This ride is hailed by riders as one of the most scenic and hospitable rides in Minnesota! With four ride options, this ride is perfect for families, novice bike riders, and experienced riders. Back by popular demand this year is the 75K Gravel Grinder; perfect for those who love to ride on gravel! All rides begin and end at the Crow River Winery which connects with the Luce Line Trail via a 1/4 mile packed gravel trail (the only portion not paved is the connection from the Winery to the Luce Line Trail. Experienced adult riders can opt to ride an alternate route on the highway a short distance to connect). There is not a “group start”, but rather riders can begin the ride as early as 7:00am and as late as 9:00am. All riders must be back the Crow River Winery and checked-in by 3pm. Riders wishing to extend their ride by riding the Dakota and Luce Line Trail system to/from the metro area can learn more here.
- 12 Mile Ride: The route will be 100% on the Luce Line Trail, and you can see the tentative route here for the Oddfellow’s 12 Mile Loop here. From the Crow River Winery to a turn-around point by Super America, and then back. Kids under 18 are free, but still need to register and have parents sign a waiver. There is one refreshment station at the turn-around point of this route. GPX file for loops
- 25 Mile Ride: The route for the Piepenburg Loop can be seen here (note: this loop actually maps 28 miles) and will utilize part of the Luce Line Trail, then head into beautiful lake country. There will be rest stops, refreshments, and SAG wagon along the route. There are two refreshment stations along the route. GPX file for loops
- 50 Mile Ride: The route for the Dassel/Lakes Loop can be seen here and will utilize part of the Luce Line Trail, then head into beautiful lake country. In addition to this being a fully-supported ride, showers will be made available to 50 mile riders. There are three refreshment stations along the route. GPX file for loops
- 75K Gravel Grinder: The route for the 75K Gravel Grinder can be seen here and will also utilize the Luce Line Trail out and back from Crow River Winery, but will venture onto rural gravel roads with rolling hills and beautiful lake views. Showers will also be made available to the 75K Gravel riders. There will be one food/refreshment/aid station and one unmanned water station along this route.
This is an approved Outreach Ride for TCBC (Twin Cities Bike Club)
